Research Interests

I am interested in research areas related to placement and scheduling of distributed applications on distributed systems like Cloud computing, Fog computing, and Edge computing.

Since the beginning of my PhD, in 2014, I have been working with heuristics for the placement of distributed applications on multiple Clouds.

Before that, during my Masters I worked with business process and workflow management. The objective was to design an exception handling module based on transactional mechanisms for the business process modeling framework "WED-flow".

During my Masters I also worked with data integration and data warehouses. I participated in the bio-informatics projects ClinMalDB and Retrovirus Epidemiology Donor Studies II.
